About Mardi Himal 9 days

Our agency Montagnes Au Nepal offers you this trek which offers the possibility of leaving the tourist traits of Nepal to venture into the deep forests and pass into mountain pastures south of the Annapurnas. Some villages crossed in the last days of the trek (one night with the locals) receive few visitors and retain their traditional charm (rustic accommodation in a small lodge). The scared mountain of Machhapuchare watches over you all doing the way.

Tour Plan

Departure from the agency with your guide. Transfer to Pokhara by tourist bus. Departure at 7:00 a.m. for approximately a 7-hour journey. A peaceful and pleasant town at the foot of the Annapurna range.

A 30-minute taxi ride to the trekking starting point in Kande. Then, a short 25-hour walk to Australian Camp with panoramic views of the Annapurna.

We begin our journey off the beaten track, through a forest of birch trees, gaint rhododendrons, mountain oaks, and maples.

The day begins in the forest, then continues doing a grassy ridge to high camp. We can gaze at Annapurna South, which seems just around the corner. In case of difficulty, it's possible to sleep a little lower down, at Low camp.

A day trip to base camp and back. We bring a picnic. We're close to the south face of Machhapuchare. We can admire a dozen snow-capped giants, from Dhaulagiri to Mustang. The spectacle is magnificent.

We make a long descent in the shade of the forest, above terraced fields. We follow the banks of the Mardi Khola, through the countryside.
